Erwin: Hi, I'm Erwin Ebens, I'm the director of TEFL Barcelona, which is a teacher's training course.
Sab: Could you show us a bit of the school?Erwin: Yes, of course. Here we have the reception area... So, come with me... Photocopier!
Sab: Yes! This is the photocopier!
Erwin: Teachers preparing to teach.
Sab: Teachers preparing to teach! Hello!
Teacher 1: Hi... nervous!
Erwin: Geoff laughing...
Sab: Hi Geoff.
Geoff: Hi! (nothing more to say...)
Sab: Who are you preparing to teach - what level?
Teacher 1: Upper-intermediates.
Sab: And how are they?
Teacher 1: They're great. They're very fluent and the like to participate.
Sab: Great. Where are you from?
Teacher 1: Seattle, Washington, USA.
Sab: Great! And you're training to be a teacher.
Teacher 1: Yes.
Sab: And how are you finding the course so far?
Teacher 1: It's a lot of information, but it's great.
Erwin: Well here we have a typical classroom, ready for the students.
Sab: OK, this is where they do their training?
Erwin: Yes, yes, in this room we have a printer, a computer, and a shelf full of books.
Sab: And a fan, for when it gets hot!
Erwin: And a fan, yes. It gets very hot in Spain.
Sab: And the good old phonetic chart.
Erwin: Oh yes! Every classroom has a phonetic chart.
.....
Erwin: This is the coffee machine. And cold drinks and snacks. And here we have the library, with a lot of English teaching books. There are videos over there, and computers.
Sab: How many computers are there?
Erwin: There are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven computers...
Sab: And here we have some future teachers studying hard... hello there!
Teacher 2: Hello.
Sab: Are you studying to be future teachers?
Teacher 2: Yes.
Sab: Yes, where are you from?
Teacher 2: From England.
Sab: OK, and how are you finding the course?
Teacher 2: It's, it's tough - it's a lot of information in a short time period - but I'm also having fun.
Sab: OK.
Student: I'm not studying to be a teacher!
Sab: What are you doing here?!
Student: I take Spanish classes here.
Sab: Oh, you're learning Spanish. And how's it going?
Student: It's going well!
Sab: Great, thank you!
